    <p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-25915" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/water-bike-schiller-x1.jpg" alt="water bike schiller x1" width="468" height="330" /></p>
<p>The <a href="http://schillerbikes.com/">Schiller X1</a> is one of the most exciting advancements we&#8217;ve seen in biking in quite some time. The X1 gives cyclists the exhilarating experience of biking across water. Equipped with two dual-chamber inflatable pontoons, the aqua bike weighs a trim 45 pounds thanks to its lightweight anodized aluminum and stainless steel frame.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-25914" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/floating-water-bike.jpg" alt="floating water bike" width="468" height="380" /></p>
<p>The bike drives like most others, with two pedals and handlebars, but instead of wheels it features two oscillating propellers that move it across the water. It can support up to 300 pounds and comes equipped with high-intensity LEDs so you&#8217;ll easily see and be seen.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-25913" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/rudderless-steering-system.jpg" alt="rudderless steering system" width="468" height="191" /></p>
<p>Unlike some of the other floating bikes (and there have been a few, both commercial and <a href="https://gajitz.com/water-great-idea-awesome-amphibious-diy-bicycle/">homemade</a>) the X1 can reach speeds of up to 8 knots (10 miles) per hour. The handlebars provide simple and accurate steering, and the X1 can even go in reverse.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-25912" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/schiller-x1-water-bike.jpg" alt="schiller x1 water bike" width="468" height="387" /></p>
<p>Safety was a huge concern for the company as they designed the amphibious bike. They assembled a team of top-notch designers, engineers, craftspeople, and sports experts to perfect the water biking experience.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-25911" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/schiller-x1-aquabike.jpg" alt="schiller x1 aquabike" width="468" height="438" /></p>
<p>When you&#8217;re ready to pack it in and head home, the X1 disassembles in under 10 minutes and is compact enough to be transported on most bike racks and in car trunks. Its zero-emission, silent, human-powered styling makes it a seriously eco-friendly way to travel without the traffic, car exhaust, and rude drivers you&#8217;d encounter biking on the street.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/across-the-blue-water-bike-takes-cycling-to-the-streams/">Across the Blue: Water Bike Takes Cycling to the Streams</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><a href="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/jet-capsule-lazzarini.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-22917" alt="jet capsule lazzarini" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/jet-capsule-lazzarini.jpg" width="468" height="262" /></a></p>
<p>Italian design studio <a href="http://www.lazzarinidesign.net/2013JetCapsulePage.html">Lazzarini</a> has gone somewhere that most yacht makers dare not venture: miniature. Their Jet Capsule is a mere 24.6 feet long and 11.5 feet wide. This watercraft is not meant solely for the obscenely wealthy, however &#8211; it can be adapted to do a number of useful and life-saving jobs.</p>
<p><a href="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/rooftop-sunbathing-jet-capsule.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-22915" alt="rooftop sunbathing jet capsule" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/rooftop-sunbathing-jet-capsule.jpg" width="468" height="258" /></a></p>
<p><a href="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/mini-yacht-jet-capsule.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-22913" alt="mini yacht jet capsule" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/mini-yacht-jet-capsule.jpg" width="468" height="348" /></a></p>
<p>The yacht&#8217;s small size allows it to be fuel efficient and extremely agile, moving in ways that a larger boat simply could not. It is surprising just how much the yacht experts were able to squeeze into this tiny space. The covered deck has seating for eight; a rooftop sunbed and automatic closing doors make for a rather luxurious experience for the personal user.</p>
<p><a href="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/cockpit-controls-lazzarini-mini-yacht.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-22914" alt="cockpit controls lazzarini mini yacht" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/cockpit-controls-lazzarini-mini-yacht.jpg" width="468" height="259" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/jet-capsule-mini-yacht-military-style.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-22916" alt="jet capsule mini yacht military style" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/jet-capsule-mini-yacht-military-style.jpg" width="468" height="223" /></a></p>
<p>Depending on what the micro-yacht will be used for, it can also contain a diving platform, toilet, bedroom, and kitchen. Some of the suggested uses are a water taxi, armored military patrol boat, SCUBA diving craft, party boat, or a water emergency vehicle.</p>
<p><a href="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/lazzarini-mini-yacht-night-LEDs.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-22912" alt="lazzarini mini yacht night LEDs" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/lazzarini-mini-yacht-night-LEDs.jpg" width="468" height="292" /></a></p>
<p>The yacht comes with one or two engines, depending on just how much power you&#8217;ll need in the water. In the dark, the boat&#8217;s multi-colored LED lights glow eerily and create otherworldly reflections on the water, leading to the illusion that it&#8217;s some kind of alien craft. The concept of a &#8220;miniature yacht&#8221; is weird enough, we think.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/mini-yacht-perfect-for-luxurious-play-or-life-saving-trips/">Mini Yacht Perfect for Luxurious Play or Life-Saving Trips</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-20933" alt="aqualung underwater flight suit" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/aqualung-underwater-flight-suit.jpg" width="468" height="350" /></p>
<p>With the exception of Aquaman and possibly Jacque Cousteau, humans cannot swim well underwater. And how can we with such primitive equipment? Flippers are impossible to use; I can’t stand idiots who constantly talk about scuba diving. Is there any hope for us who have yet to explore the sub-aquatic kingdom?</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-20932" alt="underwater flight suit" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/underwater-flight-suit-468x315.jpg" width="468" height="315" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/underwater-flight-suit-468x315.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/underwater-flight-suit.jpg 600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>What’s that, designer <a href="http://www.guillaumebinard.com/">Guillaume Binard</a>? You’ve invented a wetsuit which would allow me to fly underwater? Well, I can’t even do that on land yet, but sure, why not?</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zj743gsiuFI?rel=0" height="263" width="468" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0"></iframe></p>
<p>Partnering with Aqua Lung, Binard has created Oceanwings. This wetsuit has neoprene membranes that spread from the wrists down to the ankles and are meant to give the diver feelings of soaring through their submarine wonderland.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-20931" alt="aqualung-wing" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/aqualung-wing.jpg" width="468" height="351" /></p>
<p>If it never becomes a financial success, at least Binard has created a new piece of apparel that LARP enthusiasts and Comic-Con nerds can transform into some sort of flying squirrel-themed superhero costume.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/winged-scuba-suit-lets-you-experience-the-life-aquatic/">Winged Scuba Suit Lets You Experience the Life Aquatic</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18601" title="tredalo water craft" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/tredalo-water-craft.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" /></p>
<p>One very brave guy recently decided to walk over 66 miles of sea in a human-sized hamster wheel. Chris Todd, the 35-year-old inventor of the <a href="http://www.adventurousdesign.co.uk/Tredalo.html">Tredalo</a>, took his kind of amazing vehicle out on the Irish Sea, leaving from Wales and planning to walk all the way to Dublin.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18598" title="tredalo walking on water" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/tredalo-walking-on-water.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" /></p>
<p>The Tredalo is more or less a raft that is powered by the human(s) inside walking or running. The person or people inside hold onto a hand rail as they walk. The huge paddle wheel provides the forward thrust to move the whole vehicle over the water. The Tredalo is intended to be used on lakes and other calm waters as a leisure vehicle.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18599" title="walking on water" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/walking-on-water.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" /></p>
<p>Todd, however, attempted to use it for a much more daring feat. Unfortunately, the Tredalo encountered waves much larger than anticipated and the rudders began to fail. The crew was unable to tow it back to shore and the Tredalo came to rest on the bottom of the sea.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18600" title="tredalo water vehicle prototype" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/tredalo-water-vehicle-prototype.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" /></p>
<p>Under ordinary conditions, the Tredalo is much safer. It was designed to be stable even in rough conditions, and users can easily bail out if they encounter any serious problems. Todd is going to try to market the contraption to amusement parks as a unique ride, which we think is kind of a great idea.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/leg-powered-raft-lets-intrepid-travelers-walk-on-water/">Leg-Powered Raft Lets Intrepid Travelers Walk on Water</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18131" title="wfoil 18 albatross" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/wfoil-18-albatross.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" /></p>
<p>Looking like a cross between a WWI fighter plane and a retro speedster car, this boat can speed across the water at up to 90 miles per hour. But it&#8217;s not all about looks &#8211; this sexy machine called the wFoil Albatross also boasts a breakthrough in hydrofoil technology that allows it to glide across the water at incredible speeds with unprecedented stability.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18129" title="hydrofoil speedboat" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/hydrofoil-speedboat.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" /></p>
<p>Hydrofoils have been used extensively for speed boats for many years already, but they always suffered from the problem of cavitation. When hydrofoils skim across the water, they create an area of lower pressure on top and higher pressure below &#8211; just like how an airplane wing works. But cavitation causes bubbles in the low pressure area, which causes instability and unpredictable handling.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18130" title="super fast hydrofoil boat" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/super-fast-hydrofoil-boat.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" /></p>
<p>Tomaž Zore, the creator of the <a href="http://www.fastcodesign.com/1669911/this-boat-looks-like-a-wwi-plane-but-it-goes-90-mph#2">wFoil 18 Albatross</a>, says that he has figured out a way to solve the cavitation problem. Because Zore and his team are still developing the boat on a shoestring budget, he is reluctant to share the specifics of his revolution. But judging from the demonstration video, the advance seems to be a solid one.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/x-XXXvFmyHQ?rel=0" frameborder="0" width="468" height="263"></iframe></p>
<p>The wFoil runs on a small detachable propeller motor or on a sail, and it can go just as fast with either. Riders can switch between motor and sail in around 10 minutes. The project will make its way to Kickstarter soon, where anyone can get a piece of the sweet hydrofoil action.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/retro-look-hydrofoil-speedboat-crazy-fast-crazy-sexy/">Retro-Look Hydrofoil Speedboat: Crazy Fast, Crazy Sexy</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>
