<p>Designed to make walking with mobility assistance less painful and more comfortable, these crutches employs flexible armbands that are easier to hold in place and distribute weight to parts of the body more capable of carrying it.</p>
<iframe type='text/html' src='http://player.vimeo.com/video/144411884' height='350' width='468' allowfullscreen=' frameborder='0'></iframe>
<p>Users are are not locked or strapped into the staffs but rather slipped into place; they also make it easy for people to go into a hands-free mode for holding phones, drinks or other objects as well as opening doors.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29930" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/crutch-strap-detail-468x693.jpg" alt="crutch strap detail" width="468" height="693" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/crutch-strap-detail-468x693.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/crutch-strap-detail-692x1024.jpg 692w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/crutch-strap-detail.jpg 818w" sizes="(max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>Flexible straps can be moved along the length of the cradle, customized to user preference. Lifting arms and shifting positions is also made easy. None of this setup requires any kind of specialized tools or complex procedures for operation &#8211; the focus with each component, and the whole, is on usability and flexibility of use.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29932" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/future-crutch-468x343.jpg" alt="future crutch" width="468" height="343" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/future-crutch-468x343.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/future-crutch.jpg 818w" sizes="(max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>More from the makers: &#8220;the ‘<a href="http://www.mobilitydesigned.com/">m+d crutch</a>’ comes with a standard foot designed to absorb some of the shock of each step. the tread and material flexibility allow the crutch’s foot to conform to the ground and grip it to prevent slipping.&#8221;</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29929" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/crutch-changeable-feet-468x701.jpg" alt="crutch changeable feet" width="468" height="701" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/crutch-changeable-feet-468x701.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/crutch-changeable-feet-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/crutch-changeable-feet.jpg 818w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>&#8220;The standard foot can be easily removed and replaced with other feet designed for various terrains and activities. alternative feet will be available in the future.&#8221;</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/rest-elbows-not-armpits-ergonomic-arm-friendly-crutches/">Rest Elbows Not Armpits: Ergonomic Arm-Friendly Crutches</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

<p>A revolutionary new cheap, easy and effective method uses shockwaves for desalinating water, separating salt out by applying electric current in a process dubbed electrodialysis, thanks to <a href="http://news.mit.edu/2015/shockwave-process-desalination-water-1112">Martin Bazant</a>, engineering and mathematics professor at MIT, and his team.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29903" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/shocking-salt-468x263.jpg" alt="shocking salt" width="468" height="263" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/shocking-salt-468x263.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/shocking-salt-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/shocking-salt.jpg 1280w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>Unlike straining and boiling, the process is not prone to clogs or energy-intensive. Salt-enriched and salt-depleted water separates when electrodes are attached to porous &#8216;frit&#8217; made of small glass particles. The resulting flows are separated so the freshwater can be collected for use. Effectively, when the current is increased to a certain point, it generates a shockwave between these two zones, sharply dividing the streams and allowing the fresh and salty regions to be separated by a simple physical barrier at the center of the flow.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29902" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/shocking-saltware-468x312.jpg" alt="shocking saltware" width="468" height="312" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/shocking-saltware-468x312.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/shocking-saltware.jpg 639w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The current can kill problematic bacteria as well, helping filter as well as desalinate if needed in areas with contaminated water. This approach is “a fundamentally new and different separation system,” Bazant says. And unlike most other approaches to desalination or water purification, he adds, this one performs a “membraneless separation” of ions and particles (via <a href="http://www.fastcoexist.com/3053616/mit-finds-a-way-to-desalinate-water-by-shocking-the-salt-right-out-of-it?utm_content=bufferc7e9d&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_campaign=buffer">Fastco</a> and <a href="http://inhabitat.com/mit-develops-new-technology-that-shocks-the-salt-out-of-water/">Inhabitat</a>).</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/new-mit-desalination-tech-shocks-the-salt-out-of-water/">New MIT Desalination Tech ‘Shocks’ the Salt Out of Water</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29765" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/new-flip-phone-468x234.jpg" alt="new flip phone" width="468" height="234" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/new-flip-phone-468x234.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/new-flip-phone.jpg 660w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>Metal and glass with a big screen, it looks at a glance like any other smartphone, but this verified leak shows something only older phone owners will remember well: a clamshell-style, flip-out component that turns back time to the era of the flip phone. Effectively, it is a Galaxy S6 with a fold-down addition that will help protect the screen and make for easier shoulder holding all without adding too much in thickness.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29764" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/leaked-samsung-flip-phone-468x306.jpg" alt="leaked samsung flip phone" width="468" height="306" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/leaked-samsung-flip-phone-468x306.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/leaked-samsung-flip-phone.jpg 980w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.sammobile.com/2015/11/16/images-of-samsungs-new-flip-phone-leak-design-appears-similar-to-galaxy-s6/">According to one source</a>, &#8220;It will most probably be released as the SM-W2016, and it features two 3.9-inch Super AMOLED displays, each with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, a numeric (T9) keypad, a 16-megapixel primary camera, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.&#8221; While Samsung did recently release a flip phone in Korea, it is hoped that this one may make its way to Europe and the United States as well.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29763" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/flip-smart-phone-468x306.jpg" alt="flip smart phone" width="468" height="306" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/flip-smart-phone-468x306.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/flip-smart-phone.jpg 980w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>In terms of internal hardware, the SM-W2016 features a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The device weighs 204 grams and has dimensions of 120.4 x 61 x 15.1 mm. It’s a high-end smartphone, and will definitely have an appeal with clamshell lovers who want a <a href="http://www.sammobile.com/tag/galaxy-s6/" target="_blank">Galaxy S6</a> like premium device.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/return-of-the-flip-phone-leaked-photos-of-new-galaxy-cell/">Return of the Flip Phone: Leaked Photos of New Galaxy Cell</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

<p>Polaroid has announced a brand new digital camera, the Snap, which brings it back to its analog roots, printing immediately and in full color, and all without ink.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29241" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/new-polaroid-inkless-camera-468x307.jpg" alt="new polaroid inkless camera" width="468" height="307" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/new-polaroid-inkless-camera-468x307.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/new-polaroid-inkless-camera.jpg 747w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>Their fresh release employes an SD slot that can hold up to 32 gigabytes and features a built-in inkless &#8216;printer&#8217; (details below) co-developed with ZINK (Zero Ink) and using their printing technology.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29240" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/polaroid-snap-pictures-468x217.jpg" alt="polaroid snap pictures" width="468" height="217" /></p>
<p>Effectively, the paper already has the colors in it, with cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals covered by a protective polymer overcoat. Heat activates these latent colors on demand.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-29239" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/polaroid-snap-color-camera-468x234.jpg" alt="polaroid snap color camera" width="468" height="234" /></p>
<p>The prints are 2 inches by 3 inches (wallet sized) and the camera body comes in red, blue, black and white. It will be coming out before Christmas and sell for just $99. Tapping into that classic functionality of original Polaroids as well as the give-to-to-me-now generation of instant gratification, this is sure to be a holiday gift hit for all ages.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/sleek-new-polaroid-camera-prints-instantly-inklessly/">Sleek New Polaroid Camera Prints Instantly & Inklessly</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>
