Usually, the highway is one of the last places you’d have to fear gators. But thanks to this super-creepy motorcycle, you might just see these toothy jaws in your rearview mirror. Although it may seem like a cruel way to use a gator carcass, the GatorBike was built to raise money for the Wildlife Rehabilitation of Hernando in Florida, an organization that rescues and rehabilitates exotic animals that have been kept as pets. The beast was killed in a gator cull that was essential to keep the animals’ population down.
The bike was designed by Benny Ohrman, a Swedish leather expert. He spent a year working with the gator hide and designing the paint job to make this one-of-a-kind highway monster. Jim Jablon, owner of the WROH, spent over $100,000 of his own money to build the bike, which contains a powerful Ultima engine. Jablon is selling raffle tickets for the ghoulish bike and will choose a winner by throwing entrants’ names into a pool of alligators and having a young model dive in to fetch one. We sure hope the job pays well.
