<p>Handwritten letters are always a delight to receive, but who really bothers with paper and pen when sending an email is so much easier? A company called <a href="https://hellobond.com/">Bond</a> is using robots to reinvent the way we send personalized correspondence.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-27586" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/bond-handwriting-robot-468x256.jpg" alt="bond handwriting robot" width="468" height="256" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/bond-handwriting-robot-468x256.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/bond-handwriting-robot.jpg 769w" sizes="(max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The idea is really simple: you use your computer or phone to send to Bond whatever you&#8217;d like written on a card or letter, then the writing &#8216;bots use your own handwriting or a stored calligraphy style to carefully write it out on paper. The envelope is sealed with a wax seal and then sent out for you.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-27585" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/calligraphy-writing-robot-468x256.jpg" alt="calligraphy writing robot" width="468" height="256" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/calligraphy-writing-robot-468x256.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/calligraphy-writing-robot.jpg 770w" sizes="(max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Bond acquires your handwriting through a sample you provide or, if you only communicate in chicken scratch writing, you can choose one of the styles offered on Bond&#8217;s website. Whether in your own handwriting or some random pretty calligraphy, the service saves you the irritation and pain of having to write out every single note yourself.</p>
<!--YouTube Error: bad URL entered-->
<p>The robot-centric service is perfect for recently married couples who need to send tons of thank-you notes or for businesses that want to add a personal touch to their correspondence. There&#8217;s a $199 setup fee for Bond to acquire and store your handwriting, but after that you can send cards for $2.99 each &#8211; less if you&#8217;re making a large bulk order.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/fancy-pants-robots-send-cards-in-your-own-handwriting/">Fancy-Pants Robots Send Cards in Your Own Handwriting</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

<p>Designers Biegert &amp; Funk have given your classic hand-dial watch a personal assistant. The <a href="http://qlocktwo.com/info_w.php?lang=en">QLOCKTWO W</a> watch gives you the time in descriptive phrases like &#8220;It is Half Past Seven.&#8221; This worded timepiece has re-written how we watch time.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-21240" alt="qlocktwo wearable wristwatch" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/qlocktwo-wearable-wristwatch.jpg" width="468" height="722" /></p>
<p>It&#8217;s a smaller, portable re-make of the <a href="https://gajitz.com/word-to-your-wall-clock-letters-spell-out-the-time/">Qlocktwo wall clock</a> that maintains the unique word-based time telling method. The square face features no numbers, but 110 letters. When you press a button on the side, the appropriate letters light up to spell the time in English, German or French.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-21239" alt="qlocktwo watch" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/qlocktwo-watch.jpg" width="468" height="293" /></p>
<p>The Qlocktwo W can even display the date or the seconds that are slowly ticking by. It&#8217;s a rather more sophisticated and modern way to tell time than the typical number-loaded watch face.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/numberless-timepiece-lets-you-watch-time-pass-in-words/">Numberless Timepiece Lets You Watch Time Pass in Words</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

<p><!--wsa:gooold-->Remember the kindergarten letter books that featured every letter of the alphabet in its own special sentence? Freelance writer and illustrator Neill Cameron has created the grown-up (geeky) version called &#8220;<a href="http://www.neillcameron.com/A_to_Z.html">The A-Z of Awesomeness</a>.&#8221; It&#8217;s every bit as awesome as its name implies. Cameron created a gorgeous illustration and absurd sentence for every letter of the alphabet and rolled it up into a bundle of sci-fi, geek and dark humor.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5343" title="c-and-d" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/c-and-d.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="331" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/c-and-d.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/c-and-d-300x212.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5344" title="e-and-f" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/e-and-f.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="331" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/e-and-f.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/e-and-f-300x212.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The sentences were actually suggested by Cameron&#8217;s followers on a variety of social networking sites. He asked for input and chose a design for every letter &#8211; one a day for 26 days in June and July, 2009.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5345" title="g-and-h" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/g-and-h.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="331" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/g-and-h.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/g-and-h-300x212.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5346" title="i-and-j" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/i-and-j.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="331" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/i-and-j.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/i-and-j-300x212.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>We doubt even the artist could have predicted how epic the finished product would be. He includes references to Star Wars, Buffy, Xena, Hello Kitty, and tons of other recognizable characters, but he gives them new lives through his awesome illustrations.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-5347" title="k-and-l" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/k-and-l.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="331" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/k-and-l.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/k-and-l-300x212.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>While Cameron was selling posters of The A-Z of Awesomeness for a while, they&#8217;re all sold out and he&#8217;s not planning on printing more. But you can (and should!) still <a href="http://www.neillcameron.com/A_to_Z.html">enjoy the awesomeness online</a>. You&#8217;ll never look at the alphabet in the same way again.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/a-is-for-art-the-amazing-alphabet-of-awesomeness/">A is for Art: The Amazing Alphabet of Awesomeness</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>
