We’re constantly looking for new ways to make our workouts more interesting. Theo Watson may be onto something with his Vinyl Workout project, which has users run around and around a record to play music. The record is actually a sizable image projected on the floor, and it’s fully interactive.

The user runs around the record to play its associated music; running slower makes the music slow down and running faster speeds it up. Running in the opposite direction even makes the music play backward.
It’s not the most practical workout device for your home, but we can really see this taking off in progressive gyms or even in dance clubs. If Watson can figure out how to expand the device’s library and take requests (and maybe how to beat the dizziness problem), we bet he’d be a millionaire.
