When you and your friends get together for your monthly Nintendo Duck Hunt competition, don’t you wish there was something better to give the winner than an extra beer? Thanks to Etsy seller Woody6Switch, you can start handing out trophies for first, second and third place, along with some participation ribbons for the friends who suck.

The gold, silver, and bronze trophies are all made of real Nintendo game controllers. They’re mounted on sturdy acrylic bases with felt-covered bottoms that won’t scratch up your mantle. Then the whole assembly is spray painted with metallic colors to indicate who rules the most, the second most, and the very least.

For the folks who don’t make the top three, Woody6Switch has also kindly included some also-ran prizes: three runner-up medals made of Nintendo controller plugs and cords.

As the seller points out, these awesome trophies aren’t just for Nintendo-themed tournaments. They can be handed out to any geeky, nerdy, or video-game loving winners no matter what they did to deserve them. Or you could just hoard them all and declare yourself the supreme winner of everything.

If you were lucky enough to be a kid in the 80s or 90s, you got to witness the golden age of 8-bit pixellated video games. Staring at those little squares on the screen could eat up entire days as long as Mom and Dad kept off of our backs. The Pixel Cartridge wallpaper can bring all of those early gaming memories flooding back.

Created by designer Masaaki Enami of Kyoto-based design team Edit Mode, the wall covering features adorable piexellated game cartridges all laid out in neat rows. For people who had shelves full of these cartridges as kids, the design is kind of a comforting sight.

From close-up, the cartridges look almost recognizable. The designer hints that the individual designs are modeled on actual game cartridges and asks how many of them you can identify. You’ll have to be pretty committed to the design in order to deck your house out in the Pixel Cartridge Wallpaper, though – it comes at around $50 per ten square foot section.

We used to take Tetris everywhere with us on our Gameboys, but this is the 21st century and we’re all about constant, unfettered access to fun. Never mind all of the other portable consoles, smartphone games and everything else we use to amuse ourselves – Marc Kerger has invented a wearable game of Tetris.

The Tetris T-shirt features a screen with 128 LEDs; behind the scenes are two Adafruit Matrix controllers and four 3D printed soft button controllers. An Arduino controller and the battery compartment are housed in 3D printed covers to keep them protected from your sweat. The battery compartment is removable and presumably (hopefully) the T-shirt is washable.

Although the shirt doesn’t play the iconic Tetris music, the gameplay is surprisingly fun and easy looking…but you’ll have to learn to play upside down. Offering to let someone else play the game on your shirt  might just be a great way to make a new friend, though. Kerger’s shirt is a one-off personal creation that he doesn’t plan on selling because of its high cost, but you can get the programming instructions from his own info source: the Pumpktris on Instructables.

Walking around in your favorite video game worlds was probably a dream of every young gamer. These floor mats from JBox can’t exactly put you into a game, but they can help you recreate one in your home. The Quest 8-Bit Mat Sets feature the recognizable blocky graphics we all know and love from the early days of video gaming.

There are four sets, and each comes with four blocks. Two are “base” blocks (like grass) and two are “special” blocks (like treasure chests). The foam blocks all interlock to form a soft, cushy surface on which to sit and while away the hours playing vintage Super Mario Bros games.

For just $6.85 a set, the blocks seem like a rather good deal…but you would need an awful lot of sets to re-floor your entire living room. If you did manage that feat of nerdery (and questionable home decorating), you might just be able to play a life-size game of The Legend of Zelda with a few willing friends.
