<p><!--wsa:gooold-->We&#8217;ve come to call the larger field that we live in the Universe. The Universe, of course, includes everything: our solar system, our galaxy, all of the other millions of galaxies out there, all of the things we know, all of the things we don&#8217;t know &#8211; everything. But Universe implies that there is only one, and that all of that matter and information is contained in a single area, even if that area is infinite.</p>
<p><object width="468" height="310"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-rg3uNrI8tE&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1&#038;"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param></object></p>
<p>But now, thanks to advanced cosmological technology, we may be on the verge of changing the way we see life, the universe, and everything. According to theoretical physicist <a href="https://gajitz.com/beam-me-up-scotty-star-trek-tech-not-that-far-fetched/">Michio Kaku</a>, we may be edging nearer and nearer to a new Copernican revolution &#8211; one that will push us to see our Universe as a Multiverse. Kaku explains in the above video.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-790" title="multiverse map" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/multiverse-map.jpg" alt="multiverse map" width="468" height="281" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/multiverse-map.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/multiverse-map-300x180.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>Soon, we&#8217;ll have a new tool to see more information about space than ever before: the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna, or <a href="http://lisa.nasa.gov/">L.I.S.A</a>, which is a joint NASA-ESA venture. It&#8217;s this tool that Kaku and other physicists are hoping will shed more light on the nature of the Universe and tell us whether we actually share infinite space with other &#8220;soap bubbles.&#8221; L.I.S.A is expected to launch in 2011.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/rewriting-science-is-the-universe-actually-a-multiverse/">Rewriting Science: Is the Universe Actually a Multiverse?</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>
