    <p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-20336" alt="iriscan scanner mouse" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/iriscan-scanner-mouse.jpg" width="468" height="313" /></p>
<p>This normal-looking mouse is much more than meets the eye &#8211; it also doubles as a scanner. The <a href="http://irislink.com/c2-2415-189/IRIScan-Mouse---You-swipe--it-scans-.aspx">IRIScan mouse</a> works like a regular mouse, but it also features an extra button that lets it scan whatever is under it at the time. Press the &#8220;scan&#8221; button and swipe the mouse over a contract, letter, picture or other important document, and the image of that object appears immediately on the screen.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-20335" alt="mouse scanner combination" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/mouse-scanner-combination.jpg" width="468" height="356" /></p>
<p>You can drag and drop the scanned document into your favorite program to edit it, send it or post it. The combination mouse and 300 dpi scanner costs $79 and comes with a three-month subscription to Evernote Premium.</p>
<p><iframe width="468" height="263" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gzzyrdu-i2c?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>The very cool combination device would undoubtedly be useful, but we&#8217;d worry about accidentally hitting that &#8220;scan&#8221; button over and over and ending up with hundreds of scans of our Spongebob mouse pad.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/point-and-pick-mouse-can-scan-with-the-push-of-a-button/">Point and Pick: Mouse Can Scan With the Push of a Button</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

<p>This gesture-based wearable mouse could be the way you deal with a crowded desktop in the near future. It doesn&#8217;t require any horizontal space on which to operate because it fits over a finger and is used in mid-air to control a computer via hand gestures.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/mycestro-3d-gesture-based-mouse.jpg" alt="mycestro 3d gesture based mouse" width="468" height="263" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-20265" /></p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.inn-dev.com/">Mycestro</a>, created by Nick Mastandrea, uses Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy Protocol and can go up to eight hours on a single charge via the USB battery charger. It has a range of 30 feet and can be used to make computer interactions more intuitive.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/mycestro-finger-mouse.jpg" alt="mycestro finger mouse" width="468" height="263" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-20266" /></p>
<p>While wearing the Mycestro, you activate the cursor by touching your thumb to the side of the device. As long as your thumb is on the touch-sensitive panel, the cursor will respond to your movements. Lightly tap on the touch-sensitive panel and the tap will have the same effect as the click of a mouse button.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" width="468" height="351" src="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mycestro/mycestrotm-the-next-generation-3d-mouse/widget/video.html" frameborder="0"> </iframe></p>
<p>The Mycestro began as a <a href="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mycestro/mycestrotm-the-next-generation-3d-mouse?ref=home_popular">Kickstarter project</a> but easily sailed past its funding goal early on in the campaign. For $79-$89 the mouse that you wave around on your finger will soon be available to everyone.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/finger-mounted-mouse-for-conducting-computers-in-mid-air/">Finger-Mounted Mouse for Conducting Computers in Mid-Air</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18072" title="flat pack CD mouse" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/flat-pack-CD-mouse.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="381" /></p>
<p>The CD-ROM drive was king for quite a while, but it seems like more and more they just kind of hang around in our laptops, taking up space. This brilliant design from <a href="http://www.yankodesign.com/2012/08/27/flat-pack-mouse/">Taewon Hwang</a> makes use of the CD drive once again by storing a flat-pack mouse in it. The mouse is full size and comes with an integrated USB dongle, all in a CD-sized package.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18071" title="CD drive folding mouse" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/CD-drive-folding-mouse.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="293" /></p>
<p>The design, an entry in the 2012 iF Design Talents competition, is only a concept &#8211; but it&#8217;s an incredibly impressive one. The mouse starts out flat but pops out, origami-style, into a full-size optical mouse. When you&#8217;re done using it, it unfolds right back into its CD shape and you stash it in the CD drive again.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-18070" title="origami folding mouse" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/origami-folding-mouse.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="516" /></p>
<p>This mouse, if it ever makes it to store shelves, would fix once and for all the dilemma that laptop users have been facing for years: is it better to use that stupid integrated trackpad or carry along a mouse in the laptop bag? The Flat CD Mouse would make that question obsolete &#8211; at least for people whose laptops still have CD drives.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/transforming-flat-pack-mouse-lives-in-your-laptop-cd-drive/">Transforming Flat-Pack Mouse Lives in Your Laptop CD Drive</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-17735" title="arc mouse 2" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/arc-mouse-2.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="351" /></p>
<p>When you&#8217;re working (or playing) away from your desk on a laptop, you typically have two options: the finicky, hard-to-control built-in trackpad or one of those annoyingly tiny &#8220;travel&#8221; mice. We hate both of those options.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-17734" title="arc mouse 3" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/arc-mouse-3.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="390" /></p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.yankodesign.com/2012/07/25/anywhere-mouse/">Arc Mouse</a> from designers Seunghoon Sin and ChangSeok Kim would be a much more comfortable way to control your computer. The curved wireless mouse works on your thigh or on the curved surface of an armchair arm, letting you comfortably navigate without finding a suitable surface required by a traditional mouse.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-17733" title="arc mouse 1" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/arc-mouse-1.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" /></p>
<p>While it&#8217;s only a concept at the moment, the idea behind the Arc Mouse is a good one. Trying to use a mouse of any size while sitting on a chair or sofa is beyond frustrating, but laptop track pads are incredibly annoying. The softly curved mouse might be just the thing to make relaxed working even easier.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/curved-mouse-makes-armchair-computing-more-comfortable/">Curved Mouse Makes Armchair Computing More Comfortable</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-14447" title="toggle-remote-control" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/toggle-remote-control.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="292" /></p>
<p>Media isn&#8217;t just about TV and radio anymore. We&#8217;ve got so many gadgets and toys in our homes that it&#8217;s not uncommon to see a whole box or drawer full of remote controls in some homes. While some people are happy to control their media with a smart phone, <a href="http://www.carbondesign.com/projects/toggle">Carbon Design Studio</a> wanted to create something a little different.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-14445" title="toggle-shift-and-go" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/toggle-shift-and-go.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="293" /></p>
<p>The Toggle is their creation, and it&#8217;s definitely unlike anything we&#8217;ve seen before. Rather than pressing a certain button to switch to a different mode, you click the &#8220;mask&#8221; up, down, left or right and the remote shifts into a new function. In this novel way, it can be used as a keyboard, a mouse, a TV remote control and a video game controller.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-14446" title="toggle" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/toggle.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="468" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/toggle.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/toggle-150x150.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The base of the Toggle is a capacitive touch pad printed with a number of different characters and symbols. The top part is a moveable piece; when in the center, the Toggle is off. But when it moves in any of the four directions it enters a new mode.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/28067476?portrait=0&amp;color=ffffff" frameborder="0" width="468" height="263"></iframe></p>
<p>This physical clicking action as the fact moves around is much more satisfying than just pressing a &#8220;mode&#8221; key on a regular remote, and the fact that this one little device can do so many things is pretty great. But the best part is its slick minimalist appearance &#8211; it looks like a high-end cell phone but probably serves more functions than the actual phones many of us carry around.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/the-interaction-factor-minimalist-4-in-1-navigation-device/">The Interaction Factor: Minimalist 4-in-1 Navigation Device</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>
