    <p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-26364" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/8-bit-pixel-game-cartridge-wallpaper.jpg" alt="8 bit pixel game cartridge wallpaper" width="468" height="438" /></p>
<p>If you were lucky enough to be a kid in the 80s or 90s, you got to witness the golden age of 8-bit pixellated video games. Staring at those little squares on the screen could eat up entire days as long as Mom and Dad kept off of our backs. The <a href="http://www.walltz.jp/item_enami_pixel.html">Pixel Cartridge wallpaper</a> can bring all of those early gaming memories flooding back.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-26362" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/game-cartridge-pixel-wallpaper.jpg" alt="game cartridge pixel wallpaper" width="468" height="297" /></p>
<p>Created by designer Masaaki Enami of Kyoto-based design team Edit Mode, the wall covering features adorable piexellated game cartridges all laid out in neat rows. For people who had shelves full of these cartridges as kids, the design is kind of a comforting sight.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-26363" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/pixel-cartridge-wallpaper.jpg" alt="pixel cartridge wallpaper" width="468" height="307" /></p>
<p>From close-up, the cartridges look almost recognizable. The designer hints that the individual designs are modeled on actual game cartridges and asks how many of them you can identify. You&#8217;ll have to be pretty committed to the design in order to deck your house out in the Pixel Cartridge Wallpaper, though &#8211; it comes at around $50 per ten square foot section.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/old-school-style-vintage-8-bit-game-cartridge-wallpaper/">Old-School Style: Vintage 8-Bit Game Cartridge Wallpaper</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

<p>If you have poor eyesight, or are nostalgic about classic arcade video games, then the <a href="http://tableconnect.net/">TableConnect</a> is for you. Simply plug your iOS device into it and it’s projected on a huge table. The orientation is like a cross between an air hockey table and an old bowling alley Pac Man game – the kind you look down on through a glass screen.</p>
<!--YouTube Error: bad URL entered-->
<p>The TableConnect, however, has a fully-functional touch screen and is just as responsive as your iPhone. The screens can be swiped, and every nuance of a normal sized iOS device is magnified to fit the five foot table. One of the more quirky results is that the pinch-enlarge feature becomes a full body stretch, using your hands and arms.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/massive-idevice-accessory-takes-up-a-lot-of-space/">Massive iDevice Accessory Takes Up a Lot of Space</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-15702" title="led wallpaper 4" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/led-wallpaper-4.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="468" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/led-wallpaper-4.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/led-wallpaper-4-150x150.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>Technology design permeates so many areas of our lives, so why not integrate it into our wallpaper as well? The LED Wallpaper designed by <a href="http://www.architects-paper.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=159&amp;Itemid=55&amp;lang=en">Ingo Maurer</a> for Architects paper is a cool high-tech take on traditional wall coverings.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-15701" title="led wallpaper 3" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/led-wallpaper-3.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="468" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/led-wallpaper-3.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/led-wallpaper-3-150x150.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The wallpaper is dotted with patterns of LEDs that either depict geometric shapes or &#8211; with the help of printed lines &#8211; look like circuit boards.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-15700" title="led wallpaper" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/led-wallpaper.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="498" /></p>
<p>Depending on your home and the kind of atmosphere you want to create, you can turn the lights way down so they are subtle and their origin is hard to place, or turn them up to encourage a vibrant and energetic space.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-15699" title="led wallpaper 2" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/led-wallpaper-21.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="268" /></p>
<p>The designers don&#8217;t go into detail about how the wallpaper is powered, but they do say that it looks just as good hung in small segments as it does covering an entire room.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/light-up-led-wallpaper-that-brings-rooms-to-geeky-life/">Light-Up LED Wallpaper That Brings Rooms to Geeky Life</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

    <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/philips-light-up-wallpaper.jpg" alt="" title="philips-light-up-wallpaper" width="468" height="312" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12113" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/philips-light-up-wallpaper.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/philips-light-up-wallpaper-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p><!--wsa:gooold-->The phrase &#8220;she lit up the room when she walked in&#8221; is about to get a lot more literal. Electronics giant Philips has unveiled plans to introduce a <a href="http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-07-philips-wallpaper.html">glowing, color-changing wall covering</a> that will provide a whole new layer of ambient lighting and customizable room decor. The flexible panels will combine LEDs with sound wave response, making the lighted wall covering react to certain sounds in the room. Music, movies and even conversations will be able to affect the way the room itself looks.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/philips-glowing-wallpaper.jpg" alt="" title="philips-glowing-wallpaper" width="468" height="312" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12112" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/philips-glowing-wallpaper.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/philips-glowing-wallpaper-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The panels are flexible aluminum designed to dampen sound in a large room, so they could be doubly useful in business settings to create a more intimate atmosphere. The shifting colors can be programmed to the user&#8217;s taste in order to create a specific mood &#8211; then changed at will to create a whole different feeling for the next event.</p>
<p><object id="flashObj" width="468" height="412" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,47,0"><param name="movie" value="http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="flashVars" value="videoId=1027429880001&#038;playerID=23188062001&#038;playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAAG_GHQA~,ZymTVss1Hz9cDFN8OrUzqY8edqSvky_N&#038;domain=embed&#038;dynamicStreaming=true" /><param name="base" value="http://admin.brightcove.com" /><param name="seamlesstabbing" value="false" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="swLiveConnect" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /></object></p>
<p>Philips doesn&#8217;t say when the panels will be available or how much they might cost, but the concept seems to be geared more toward businesses than individuals. It isn&#8217;t hard to see how a hotel, restaurant or dance club could make good use of glowing wallpaper. But there is also something to be said for having dancing lights covering the walls of a living room.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/glowing-wallpaper-makes-room-design-totally-customizable/">Glowing Wallpaper Makes Room Design Totally Customizable</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

<p><!--wsa:gooold-->Back when televisions were new, they were massive things set into huge wooden cabinets that took up half of the living room. They were pieces of furniture in their own right. But as technology has marched on, our TVs have become appliances that we put on top of specialized pieces of furniture rather than acting as furniture themselves.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-10135" title="vintage-design-tv" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/vintage-design-tv.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="414" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/vintage-design-tv.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/vintage-design-tv-300x265.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>Designer <a href="http://mikeychen.com/index.php?/id/tv-/">Mike Chen</a> wants to rewind living room design a few decades and make the television the impressive piece of furniture it once was. His <a href="http://www.psfk.com/2011/03/the-television-becomes-furniture-again-pics.html">TV design</a> puts a flat-screen TV inside a wooden cabinet with legs and a bunny-ears antenna on top. Unlike vintage TVs, this one comes with a remote &#8211; though its design is reminiscent of the controls on older television sets. The simple remote consists of a single dial for adjusting channel and volume and one big button for the power. When it is not in use, the remote fits into the body of the TV at the top right corner, completing its awesome vintage look.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/the-re-furniturization-of-television-modern-vintage-design/">The Re-Furniturization of Television: Modern Vintage Design</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>
