<p>You have a ton of choices for getting your data from one place to another, but flash drives are a classic. Etsy seller miniFab combines the flash drive with more classic technology: retro 8-bit video game controllers.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-26310" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/8-bit-flash-drives.jpg" alt="8 bit flash drives" width="468" height="380" /></p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/155228184/personalized-bamboo-4-gb-usb-wood-gamer">4GB Wood Gamer Flash Drives</a> are made from bamboo and have an attached keychain for keeping them close at hand. Each one is emblazoned with the image of a classic NES or Super NES controller or a Gameboy.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-26311" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/super-NES-controller-flash-drive.jpg" alt="super NES controller flash drive" width="468" height="190" /></p>
<p>The flash drives can be personalized with an engraved name or message. At $25, the 4GB USB drive seems like a pretty great gift for the 8-bit game enthusiast on your list.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/bamboo-flash-drives-look-like-classic-nes-controllers/">Bamboo Flash Drives Look Like Classic NES Controllers</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>

<p>Eight-bit art has a special place in the hearts of gamers who grew up playing Atari and other early video game systems. Artist Adam Lister combines blocky art with pop culture to create some uniquely awesome watercolor paintings in a series called &#8220;<a href="http://www.adamlistergallery.com/work.html">8-Bit Watercolors</a>.&#8221;</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24847" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/classic-paintings.jpg" alt="classic paintings" width="468" height="288" /></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24848" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/forrest-gump.jpg" alt="forrest gump" width="468" height="377" /></p>
<p>Combining elements of cubism and video game art, Lister chooses subjects that range from television characters to Star Wars scenes to classic paintings.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24849" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/star-wars-droids.jpg" alt="star wars droids" width="468" height="574" /></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24850" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/yoda.jpg" alt="yoda" width="468" height="464" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/yoda.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/yoda-150x150.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The artist begins with a general sketch, the fills it out using nothing but horizontal and vertical lines. It&#8217;s kind of like a sophisticated Etch-A-Sketch that churns out some unforgettable images.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24851" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/walter-white.jpg" alt="walter white" width="468" height="268" /></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-24852" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/batman-and-robin.jpg" alt="batman and robin" width="468" height="358" /></p>
<p>To add depth to his paintings, Lister uses a heavyweight paper and gentle watercolor shading, providing a wonderful balance between the blockiness of the images and the textures of the paper and color.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/awesome-8-bit-paintings-combine-blockiness-watercolors/">Awesome 8-Bit Paintings Combine Blockiness + Watercolors</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>
