Office workers spend a third of their weekdays with one hand on a computer mouse, so designer Joey Roth decided to do a little something to make the experience more comfortable. He designed a mouse made of soft felt that will make mouse operation seem nice and comfy.
Roth’s design is blocky, but looks oh-so-soft. It has all of the basic functionality of a plastic optical mouse – including the scroll wheel – but in a softer body.
The first prototype of the device debuted at the May 2011 “Use Me” exhibit at the American Design Club. With any luck, Roth will put these awesome mice into production so we can all trade in our hard plastic pointers for these soft, fun-to-use versions.
