Apple addicts often find themselves with desktops buried beneath iPods, iPhones, iPads and all of the accessories and cases that go along with them. Andrew Seunghyun Kim has come up with a neat – and dare we say kind of adorable? – way to keep all of your iGear organized and off of your work surface. Kim wisely avoided starting the product’s name with “i,” thereby avoiding the wrath of Apple, and calls his stand the Polyply.
The Polyply can hold an iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod classic along with a single stylus. If you place all of your Apple gadgets in it and prop it up in front of your iMac, you can assemble the ultimate Apple workspace/charging station.
The stand is beautifully minimalistic, being made only of layers of wood and acrylic – with cutouts for the gadgets – and a wooden dowel on the back for balance. It is also designed to make charging all of the gadgets simple, whether you are using them while they are charging or just slotting them into the stand to get them out of the way.
Kim made the Polyply with a laser cutter, and anyone with the appropriate tools should be able to make a similar stand customized for their own collection of Apple gear.
