We all leave notes for others from time to time. Whether we live with parents, spouses, roommates or kids, it seems like our schedules are so busy that face-to-face communication is not always possible. The Record Me concept, designed by Luc van Hoeckel, is a neat alternative to sticky notes left all over the place, letting you easily record your notes in your own voice.
As demonstrated in the above video, the recorder works with a simple series of touches. One touch to record, another to stop recording. A touch to replay the message and a longer touch to erase it. Various colored lights let you know which of the 12 positions hold a message waiting to be listened to.
Despite looking suspiciously like a smoke detector, the Record Me is a cute, playful concept. It would allow you to be just as passive-aggressive as written notes (if you’re into that sort of thing), but with the added benefit of allowing housemates to actually hear the tone of your voice.
