<p><!--wsa:gooold-->If you&#8217;ve caught Mad Men madness like it seems just about everyone has, you&#8217;ll love this unbelievable vintage-looking PC case made by <a href="http://slipperyskip.com/page30.html">Jeffrey Stephenson</a>. Inspired by a design competition calling for imagined mid-century computers, Stephenson crafted the case in perfect retro style. It&#8217;s called Mid Century Madness, and it&#8217;s both a throwback to the distinctive furniture styles of the past and a home for today&#8217;s most ubiquitous office accessory: the PC.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-7366" title="mid-century-madness-case-mod-2" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/mid-century-madness-case-mod-2.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="312" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/mid-century-madness-case-mod-2.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/mid-century-madness-case-mod-2-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The case is made of red oak plywood, birch plywood, and some other bits and bobs. They came together beautifully, resulting in a minimalist case that&#8217;s both perfectly appropriate for the 1950s-1960s and useful for the computer lover of today. The graceful lines hold up a floating top that would fit remarkably well into a 1950s office.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-7365" title="mid-century-madness-case-mod-3" src="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/mid-century-madness-case-mod-3.jpg" alt="" width="468" height="284" srcset="https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/mid-century-madness-case-mod-3.jpg 468w, https://gajitz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/mid-century-madness-case-mod-3-300x182.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px" /></p>
<p>The top of the case features a vent and the bottom contains two exhaust fans, all of which ensure that the case won&#8217;t get too hot to actually sit next to. Stephenson doesn&#8217;t mention whether he won the competition, but it would be hard to imagine an entry more amazing than this one.</p><p>The post <a href="https://gajitz.com/mid-century-style-meets-modern-pc-in-dazzling-custom-case/">Mid-Century Style Meets Modern PC in Dazzling Custom Case</a> first appeared on <a href="https://gajitz.com">Gajitz</a>.</p>
