Personal Watercraft Lets You Skim Across Water Like a Bug

If you’re itching to get out of the gym and get a workout in the real world, this ultra-cool water toy is about as good as it gets. The Aquaskipper is a simple hydrofoil watercraft that is propelled entirely by the user’s bouncing body weight. All you do is jump on the foot pads to keep it skimming across the water.

With a top speed of 17 MPH, the Aquaskipper can actually get you around in the water – but only if you’re fit enough to keep it going. It requires constant motion to move the foils through the water and keep the whole thing going forward, so it’s definitely not for out-of-shape bikini bunnies.

You might look a little goofy hopping around in the water on this thing, but the Aquaskipper is actually a great cardiovascular workout. And since it has no motor, it doesn’t create pollution of any kind while you’re getting your fitness on in the lake. After you’re done, the whole thing folds up into a case the size of a golf bag and slips easily into your trunk. Try doing that with a treadmill.
