Don’t be alarmed: that fleet of scary girl-shaped robots marching down the street isn’t out to get you. They just want to show off their LED-enhanced smiles. The crazy gadgets are all the rage in Japan; they take a normal human set of teeth and turn it into a slightly-terrifying flashing electronic smile. The device fits mouthguard-style in the oral cavity while a small wireless controller is held in the hand to control the color and flashing of the light.

The LED mouth guard is being marketed as “a party in your mouth” and has mostly gained popularity with Japanese schoolgirls. If the video above is any indication, they will soon assemble their LED army to overtake downtown Tokyo in a colorful, flashy display of odd taste.
