<p><!--wsa:gooold-->Wireless electricity would <a href="https://gajitz.com/cutting-the-cord-wireless-electricity-no-longer-sci-fi/">make our lives easier</a> in <a href="https://gajitz.com/look-mom-no-cord-induction-charger-for-electric-cars/">so many ways</a>, but it will also be able to do some pretty amazing things that most of us have never even considered. At CES 2010, wireless electricity innovators eCoupled <a href="http://www.pcworld.com/article/216563/wireless_power_brings_a_brighter_breakfast.html">showed off their vision</a> for the future of grocery stores: cereal boxes that light up right on the supermarket shelves. The printable electric coils proposed by eCoupled are so thin, lightweight and easy to manufacture that they can be printed right into the boxes themselves.</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="468" height="288" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BOwgtERQ00A?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /></object></p>
<p>Presumably the technology could be built into plenty of product packaging, but we&#8217;re guessing that sugary cereals, cookies and other kid-friendly products would be the most logical starting point for an innovation like this. Once wireless technology takes hold in the home as well, the printed coils could be used in conjunction with a home computer to give vital info about each product such as nutrition information and expiration date &#8211; and maybe someday save us the hassle of taking a kitchen inventory and making out a grocery list every week.</p>
